Our charity of the year - The Cinnamon Trust
Each year OutsideClinic chooses to support a different charity by running fundraising events. This year, our chosen charity to support is The Cinnamon Trust - a specialist national charity for people in their later years and their much loved, much needed companion animals.
A national network of over 15,000 community service volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. The Cinnamon Trust keeps them together – for example, volunteers will walk a dog every day for a housebound owner, they’ll foster pets when owners need hospital care, they’ll fetch the cat food, or even clean out the bird cage.
When staying at home is no longer an option, the charity’s ‘Pet Friendly Care Home Register’ lists care homes and retirement housing happy to accept residents with pets, and provided prior arrangements have been made, they will even take on the lifetime care of a bereaved pet.
The Cinnamon Trust ensures peace of mind for owners, and love, care and safety for beloved pets. They help around 32,000 people a year with 41,000 animals and run two home-from-home sanctuaries, which all requires funding. OutsideClinic staff members will hold various fundraising events throughout the year in order to support this wonderful charity.
